Cuisine is an essential part of the experience at our Manteo, NC bed and breakfast. Great care is given to serving only the freshest foods, garnished with edible herbs and flowers from the Inn’s own gardens. Gourmet Breakfast
Each morning at White Doe Inn begins with a full-service breakfast, served on our garden patio with soft music and formal table service. Guests are welcomed with gourmet coffee or espresso drinks, an assortment of fine teas, and their choice of fresh juices or mimosas.
The first course is a chef’s choice breakfast board, featuring scratch-baked delights such as scones, muffins, or biscuits*; a creamy element like panna cotta or yogurt parfait with homemade granola; and fresh seasonal fruit.
For the main course, expect elevated versions of familiar favorites—lemon ricotta pancakes, individual casseroles of seasonal French toast or quiche, or fresh breakfast tacos inspired by our Austin roots. Every dish is seasoned with herbs from our own garden, and the menu changes daily, ensuring you never enjoy the same breakfast twice.
Breakfast is served each morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. For those with early departures or later starts, we’re glad to prepare a to-go option. While some dishes shine brightest at the table, your travel breakfast will still reflect the same thoughtful care.

Afternoon Refreshments
Guests returning to White Doe Inn after a day of fun-filled Outer Banks activities will find complimentary homemade baked goods and an assortment of white and red wines to sample from afternoon to evening. Complimentary coffee, trail mix, chilled soda and candies are always available in the common areas, alongside our full-service espresso machine and selection of hot teas.
