The White Doe Inn is hosting wine tastings on the back veranda featuring wines from Vineyards on the Scuppernong every third Friday of the month. The first wine tasting will be held June 24th, 2011 from 4:00 – 7:00pm. The Scuppernong grape, also known as the Muscadine grape, is a native to northeastern North Carolina and prized for its taste as well as an antioxidant.
Guests staying at the Inn during the 3rd Friday Wine Tasting events will enjoy a selection of wine and antipasti dishes featuring Bella Cucina from Italy. What can be better than enjoying unique food, wine and mingling with great people. We hope that you join us!
The Scuppernong Room at the White Doe Inn overlooks the Inn’s own Scuppernong grape vine. Many an evening you will find Bebe Woody standing under the vine talking with guests or passing neighbors all the while enjoying the fruit of the vine.
